Our Policies
1. General Reservations
1.1. We reserve the right to decline a booking or to refuse entry to accommodate any person(s) or group who in our opinion, are not suitable to occupy. In this case no reasons will need to be given and the contract shall be discharge without further liability on either party.

1.2. If we are prevented by any circumstances beyond our control from making the accommodation available on the day of hire commencement, and cannot provide a suitable alternative, we will refund all monies already paid, but no further liability shall be accepted.
1.3. Reservation Policy
1.3.1 We will collect 20% deposit as the guarantee to secure the booking, and also allow us to use this as security for your unpaid cancellation charges (if any) and for unregistered extra guests.

1.3.2 All bookings will remain as provisional until a 20% non-refundable deposit is received. The booking will be held for you for 4 days once the room is confirmed available, after which the room will be released for sale if deposit is not recieved

1.3.3 Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for Cancellation charges.

1.3.4 Please make sure the details of your booking are correct as we cannot take responsibility for any mistakes made.

1.3.5 Please show your confirmation email or print out upon arrival.
1.4 Cancellation Policy
1.4.1 OUR CANCELLATION POLICY requires at least 7 days written notice (email or fax is acceptable) of cancellation prior to your arrival date.

1.4.2 For cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date (at 12 noon local time), you will be charged 20 % of cancellation fee.

1.4.3 If you cancel within 7 days of the arrival date (at 12 noon local time) or fail to take up your reserved accommodation for whatever reason, you will be liable for your 1 night's accommodation at PINNACLES KUCHING.

1.4.4. By giving us your credit card details you are authorising us to use this as security for your reservation, your accommodation, your unpaid cancellation charges (if any) and or unregistered extra guests.

1.4.5 We reserve the right to make changes or cancellations after the booking at any time, although we will endeavour not to make a major change or cancel the booking within 7 days of the arrival date, except by reason of force majeure (see clause 7 below). If we have to make a major change to your arrangements after booking we will offer you the option of accepting the change or cancelling the booking and receiving a full refund of any monies paid to us. We do not accept responsibility for any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any change.
1.5 Changes by you
1.5.1 If you wish to change your booking after it has been confirmed, e.g. guest names, date changes etc, you must inform us as soon as possible. We will try to assist but cannot guarantee to meet such requests.

1.5.2 If changes of traveling date is made 7 days prior to the arrival date (at 12 noon local time), you will not be charged any cancellation or changing fee. The new traveling date should be within +/- 7 days of your original traveling date, or else it will be considered as booking cancellation and the cancellation policy prevailed

1.5.3 Every party is allowed to change the traveling date once only.

1.5.4 If changes of traveling date is made within 7 days of the arrival date (at 12 noon local time), you will be liable for your 1 night's accommodation at PINNACLES KUCHING.
2. Arrivals/Departures
2.1 Our check-in time is at 1300 hours and our check-out time is at 1100 hours.

2.2 Late check-outs may be available upon prior arrangement; please liaise with the Front Office Desk to discuss this option.

2.3 Guests are expected to check-in within 3 hours of their flight Estimated Time Arrival (ETA). Please advise PINNACLES KUCHING of any delays beyond this time.
3. Pinnacles Kuching Property
3.1 On check-in all guests will be provided linen and keys/smart cards. These items are the property of PINNACLES KUCHING and are to be returned on check-out. Guests are required to pay a refundable deposit of RM50.00 per. bed/room.

3.2 For the lost or damaged of the following items, the charges are:- RM20 for a room key; RM80 for the linen; RM20 for the access card; and RM30 for towels

3.3 Any damages, lost and or removals (of keys, smart cards, linen or fixtures and fittings) will be charged to the individual concerned, or if appropriate, the Group Leader and the same will be charged to your credit card.

3.4 The PINNACLES KUCHING Management reserves their absolute right to have access to rooms for the purpose of maintenance, cleaning or any other reason deemed appropriate.
4. Personal Property
4.1 PINNACLES KUCHING does not accept liability for the death, sickness or injury to any guest or for the loss, theft or damage to any guest property however sustained or caused.

4.2 It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that their belongings are secure at all times.

4.3 Guests are welcome to make use of the safe deposit box at the Front Office.
5. Pets
5.1 Sorry, pets are not permitted in PINNACLES KUCHING at any time except Guide Dogs.
6. House Rules
6.1 Private Family Deluxe is for maximum of 3 persons only. Any additional occupant may be accommodated in the same room (dependent on the size of the room) and an extra ‘bed charge' will be levied but subject to availability.

6.2 Private Double and Private Twin are for maximum of 2 persons only. Any additional occupant may be accommodated in the same room (dependent on the size of the room) and an extra ‘bed charge' will be levied but subject to availability.

6.2 It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that his/her behaviour does not detrimentally affect the comfort or safety of other guests in the building.

6.3 We reserve the right to repossess the accommodation at any time where any damage or inappropriate behaviour has occurred. In such a case we shall not be liable to make a refund of any portion of the amount already paid.

6.4 PINNACLES KUCHING Management stresses that the usage, possession, trafficking of illicit drugs is a serious offence in Malaysia , and may carry the death sentence.

6.5 PINNACLES KUCHING has a strict no-smoking policy.

6.6 In the dorm rooms, the quiet time for sleeping is from 2230 hours to 0700 hours. Out of courtesy to fellow travellers, please be very quiet if you come in late or leave early. Listening of music or radio should be with headphones.

6.7 PINNACLES KUCHING subscribes to eco-friendly ideals and guests are requested to avoid waste and to be economical in their use of electricity and water. Kindly deposit any waste that cannot be avoided into the appropriate waste baskets.

6.8 Please do not store food in your rooms, these attract bugs.

6.9 DO NOT use your own sleeping bags at any time whilst at PINNACLES KUCHING.

6.10 Consistent with local custom and practice all footwear MUST NOT be worn within PINNACLES KUCHING and are to be left at the designated storage areas.

6.11 Guests are expected to leave their beds/rooms in a reasonable state and if not may be charge an extra cleaning fee as deemed appropriate by Management.

6.12 All bed linen is provided; you will however need to bring your own toiletries. Towels are not provided for dorm beds.

6.13 Facilities within PINNACLES KUCHING are strictly for guests of PINNACLES KUCHING . Access to PINNACLES KUCHING is restricted only to in-house guests at all times.
7. Force Majeure
7.1 We do not accept liability or pay compensation for any loss, damage or expense where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations is prevented or affected by reason of force majeure. Force Majeure means any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid such as war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, closure of airports or ports, technical problems with transport, governmental action and all other similar events.
8. Medical Problems
8.1 If you have any medical problems or disability which may affect your stay you must advise us before booking giving full details to us. Your booking may be declined or cancelled in your best interests if we feel unable to properly accommodate your particular needs.
9. Law
9.1 Any issues arising out of these booking conditions shall be deemed to come into existence in Malaysia and be subject to Malaysia law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Malaysia.
10. Personal Privacy
10.1 Your privacy is important to us and we make every effort to ensure that your privacy is respected at all times.
